1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Tara Riley Limited (company registration number: 10705483) ("Tara Riley", "we", "us"), including studio classes, memberships, retreats, and on-demand content (together, the "Services"). By booking, purchasing, or using any of the Services, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Studio Etiquette guidelines.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and where changes materially affect your membership, we will notify registered members by email at least 14 days in advance.
While we take care to keep information on our website accurate, we do not guarantee its completeness, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on it, except where that liability cannot be excluded by law.
2. Booking & Payment
All classes must be booked and paid for in advance.
Classes can be booked as single sessions or in blocks of 5.
All sales are final. Class packs are non-refundable and non-transferable, and must be used within the stated validity period — no exceptions.
Classes are subject to availability and may occasionally be changed or rescheduled; we will always try to give advance notice.
Participants must be at least 16 years old, with parental consent, to take part in group classes.
3. Membership Terms
3.1 Minimum Contract Term
Membership requires a minimum initial commitment of 3 months from the start date. Membership fees are payable monthly in advance for the duration of this minimum term.
3.2 After the Minimum Term
Once the minimum 3-month term has been completed, your membership will continue on a rolling monthly basis until cancelled in writing, in line with the cancellation notice set out below.
3.3 Pausing Your Membership
Members may pause their membership for 1 month per calendar year, taken as a single continuous month — it cannot be split into shorter blocks.
A pause fee of £25 applies per pause.
Requests to pause must be made in writing (by email) at least 2 weeks before the requested pause start date.
Membership fees are suspended for the duration of an approved pause; the pause fee is charged in place of your usual membership fee.
Pauses cannot be backdated and are subject to confirmation in writing.
If a pause is taken during the initial 3-month minimum term, that minimum term is extended by the length of the pause.
3.4 Cancelling Your Membership
After the minimum 3-month term, you may cancel by giving at least 2 weeks' written notice by email. Your membership will end, and payments will stop, at the end of that notice period. Cancellation requests within the minimum 3-month term are not accepted, save where required by law (for example, the standard 14-day cooling-off period for new members, illness, injury, or a change of circumstances that makes it impossible for you to use the membership).
3.5 Fair Use & Conduct
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a membership, without refund for the suspended period, where a member's conduct is, in our reasonable opinion, damaging to the studio, other clients, or in breach of these Terms.
4. Class Cancellation Policy
4.1 Early Cancellations
You may cancel a class booking at least 12 hours in advance via the booking app. Your credit will be returned to your account for future use.
4.2 Late Cancellations
Cancelling within 12 hours of a class, or not attending at all, means the space cannot usually be re-filled for other clients. If you cancel late or no-show, the class will not be credited back to your account or refunded.
4.3 Waitlist
If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. You'll be moved in automatically if a space becomes available — please check the app, as it's your responsibility to know if you've been added. If you can no longer attend, cancel in the usual way to avoid being charged.
4.4 Late Arrival
For safety, entry is not permitted more than 5 minutes after a class starts. No refund or credit is given for late arrivals who are unable to join. If you arrive late, miss the warm-up, and choose to continue, you do so at your own risk.
5. Health, Safety & Waiver
Pilates, Barre, Strength Training, and Dance Cardio classes are exercise services, not medical treatment, and nothing we say constitutes medical advice. It is your responsibility to confirm with your doctor that you are fit to take part before starting, and to tell your instructor about any medical conditions, injuries, or pain that could affect your session, before each class.
If you have been medically advised not to take part in physical activity, please do not join our classes, live or on-demand.
If pregnant, please discuss participation with your doctor first; we recommend waiting at least six weeks postnatally before resuming exercise. Our classes are not specifically tailored for pre/postnatal or other specific conditions unless stated.
Waiver and Release of Liability
In consideration of the risk of injury involved in participating in Pilates, pre/postnatal Pilates, Barre, Strength Training, or Dance Cardio classes (the "Activity"), you knowingly and voluntarily waive any claims arising from your participation, and release Tara Riley from liability for physical or psychological injury, including illness, paralysis, death, or other damage, that you may suffer as a direct result of your participation in the Activity.
You confirm that you are participating in the Activity voluntarily and entirely at your own risk, and that you assume all related risks, both known and unknown. You acknowledge that the Activity may test your physical and mental limits and may carry the potential for serious injury. You are aware that, during and after exercise, there exists the potential for muscle soreness and stiffness and, while rare, more serious outcomes including abnormal blood pressure, fainting, disorders of the heartbeat, heart attack, and death. You assume all of the foregoing risks and accept personal responsibility for any damage or injury you might suffer. It is your responsibility to satisfy yourself that there is no medical reason preventing your participation.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tara Riley against any and all claims, suits, or actions of any kind for liability, damages, compensation, or otherwise, brought by you or anyone on your behalf, including reasonable legal fees and related costs, arising out of your participation in the Activity.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
6. Studio Etiquette & Belongings
Mats and small equipment are provided. Grippy socks are recommended for Barre and Cardio-Sculpt classes and can be purchased through us. We're not able to accept responsibility for personal items lost on the premises.
7. Privacy
Your personal information is kept securely and is only accessed by Tara Riley. For full details on how we collect, use, and store your data, please see our Privacy Policy.
8. On-Demand & Online Services
The following terms apply specifically to use of our on-demand video streaming platform and related apps (the "Online Services").
8.1 Eligibility
The Online Services are for users aged 18 and over. You're responsible for ensuring your use complies with the laws of your jurisdiction; we make no claim that the Online Services are lawfully accessible in every location.
8.2 Your Account, Username & Password
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password, and for all activity under your account, whether or not authorised by you. Please tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
8.3 Your Information
If you register for the Online Services, you'll be asked for information including your name, a valid email address, and payment details. You confirm that this information is accurate and will keep it up to date. We may offer you our own or third-party products and services based on the preferences you provide, unless you opt out.
8.4 Subscriptions & Payment
Subscriptions are billed monthly and continue until cancelled. You must cancel before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month. Available plans and pricing may change from time to time, at our discretion. If we remove your account or restrict your access for any reason, and you've paid a monthly fee, we'll refund you for the month in which this happens if you haven't had a reasonable period to use the Online Services that month.
8.5 Acceptable Use
The Online Services are for your personal, non-commercial use only — streaming and viewing content. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, publicly perform, or otherwise reproduce the content, or attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the platform. This includes accessing data or accounts you're not authorised to use, probing or testing system vulnerabilities, interfering with the service (including via viruses, overloading, or spamming), forging header information, scraping or harvesting data, or using automated tools to manipulate the platform.
8.6 Exercising Safely at Home
When taking part in on-demand or live-streamed classes, it's your responsibility to be aware of your own capabilities and only do what you're comfortable with, seeking medical advice if in doubt. Please make sure the space you're using is a flat surface, clear of obstacles, and spacious enough for the activity. We're not responsible for injuries or damage arising from your use of the Online Services, except where caused by our negligence.
8.7 Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and materials on the Online Services belong to Tara Riley and are protected by UK copyright, trademark, and related laws. You may not reproduce, sell, modify, or otherwise reuse them without permission.
8.8 Social Networking
You may be able to share content from the Online Services via Instagram, Facebook, or other social platforms. You do so at your own responsibility, including complying with those platforms' own terms. We may share content you have publicly shared relating to our Services.
8.9 Communications
By using the Online Services, you consent to receiving electronic communications from us, including emails about your account, password, access, marketing, and other transactional information relating to your account.
8.10 Warranty Disclaimer & Liability
The Online Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses, or that streaming quality will meet any particular standard, as this depends on factors outside our control (your connection, device, and location). Our liability in connection with the Online Services is limited to the amount you've paid for them, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law).
8.11 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Online Services, any content or communications you submit, or your breach of these Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
